Welcome to Sanborn Elementary
In partnership with parents and community, Sanborn School will provide a creative learning environment that ensures all students reach their full potential and become caring, responsible citizens.
Sanborn Elementary, one of six elementary buildings in the Alpena Public School District, is located in Ossineke, Michigan near beautiful Lake Huron and the Devil's River. Around 200 students attend Kindergarten through grade five. Sanborn is very proud of its special features, programs, and, most of all, its commitment to the children of the future. We believe knowledge is the key to success.

Our March 2024 #WeAreWildcats Alumni Spotlight is Roger Tadajewski
Roger is a graduate of the class of 1978 at Alpena High School. He attended Pepperdine University School of Business and Management. Roger is currently serving as the Executive Director at National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) which focuses on promoting Career and Technical Education to create highly-skilled, job-ready professionals through a growing network of educational partners and global industry leaders.

She is an outstanding student making the Besser Top 10%, active in school activities like Leadership, Golf and Figure Skating as well as serving as our go to voice at AHS for her beautiful renditions of the Star Spangled Banner!
