Alpena Public Schools will hold a Job Fair for Bus Drivers, Relief Drivers, Bus Attendants, Food Service, Custodial, Maintenance and Instructional Assistants on Tuesday, July 14th from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. and Thursday, July 16th from 3 to 5 P.M. at Alpena High School 3303 S. Third Avenue in the Media Center. We are hiring for full-time, part-time and substitute positions. Schedule an interview if you can’t attend by calling (989) 358-5030. Huron Pines is hosting a new event on July 9th called Picnic & Pages. It is an invitation to slow down, unplug and enjoy a summer afternoon at the Hubbard Lake Nature Preserve. Attendees are encouraged to bring a book, pack a picnic or blanket, and spend time reading, relaxing and soaking up the outdoors. The event is free and open to everyone.

Our local United Way branch is partnering with Dolly Parton Imagination Library. If you have children under the age of 5, sign them up for 12 free books a year until they are 5 years old.
